On July 4, 2025, Clint Curtis used his public Facebook page to promote his 2026 campaign for Shasta County Registrar of Voters, proudly announcing an interview appearance on The Pete Santilli Show. This connection is troubling given Santilli’s record of promoting extremism and violence.
Who is Pete Santilli?
Pete Santilli is a far-right talk show host notorious for spreading conspiracy theories and making violent threats. In 2013, he made national headlines after stating that Hillary Clinton should be “shot in the vagina” (Right Wing Watch, n.d.). In 2016, he was arrested and jailed for live-streaming and participating in the armed militia standoff at Oregon’s Malheur National Wildlife Refuge (Brown, 2016). More recently, Santilli has used his platform to call for the military execution of former President Obama and other officials if Donald Trump were to be arrested (Right Wing Watch, n.d.).
In a county that prides itself on civic integrity and inclusivity, a candidate’s public association with such an extremist figure raises serious concerns about judgment, values, and commitment to responsible leadership.

Just a continuous stream of interviews with conspiracy theorists!
Who Is Craig Jardula? You Should Know
Craig Jardula is a digital commentator known for his co-hosting of The Convo Couch alongside Fiorella Isabel. Although they present themselves with left-leaning rhetoric, the pair have repeatedly amplified right-wing talking points, including anti-vaccine messaging, election conspiracies, and promotion of unverified therapies such as ivermectin (Higgins, 2022).
In 2021, Jardula told Business Insider that he had been invited by Caleb Maupin—an RT-affiliated political commentator—to travel to Nicaragua to act as an election observer. The Nicaraguan government under President Daniel Ortega reportedly extended invitations to influencers to validate its electoral process. Jardula later described Nicaragua as “a true democratic country” on social media (Davis, 2021).
How many more figures aligned with conspiratorial or extremist views does Clint Curtis intend to bring into the political life of Shasta County—and what will residents do in response?
VOTE HIM OUT IN 2026!!

9/24/25: “Mr. Curtis’ claim that the Secretary of State has approved his plans is false,” the Secretary of State office wrote by email. “We have not seen, nor have been provided, with any such plans.”
8/10/25: Curtis will return to the board with a budget amendment to fund his changes to elections in Shasta. He’s asking for about $2.6 million more than his already-approved annual election budget of $4.4 million.
Clint Curtis is facing scrutiny for his past job experience, beliefs about election interference and evolving political affiliation.
Interview of Clint Curtis as a special guest with Mike Lindell at the Moment of Truth Summit. This was an event over a 3 day period to discuss Lundell’s debunked allegations of 2020 election fraud and overturning the results.
Clint Curtis “opposes the use of voting machines and highlights his connection to proponents of election conspiracy theories, including Mike Lindell and Steve Bannon.”
From the Orlando Weekly
Excellent breakdown of Curtis’ experience or lack thereof with detailed information about his affiliation with election conspiracy theorists and MAGA Trump supporters.
The newly selected Shasta County Registrar of Voters Clint Curtis fired Assistant ROV Joanne Francescut, a 17-year veteran of Shasta County’s elections office in May 2025.
He registered to vote in the county as a republucan using the address of an Election Commissioner who’s also an outspoken opponent of the Shasta County Election Office.
BOTH CURTIS & PLUMB ARE VOTING MEMBERS OF THE NEW CALIFORNIA STATE
In 2007, Clint Curtis lost to Tom Feeney because he alleged “that his walloping in November in the Orlando suburbs resulted from some cunning but as yet unspecified manipulation of computer software tallying the votes.”
Typical of election conspiracy theorists:
I won! Election was fair!
I lost! Election was rigged!
Curtis was slapped with a court gag order preventing him from rolling out one of his campaign’s promised “rip-off reports.”
In 2016, Clint Curtis & Associates filed a lawsuit asserting that if the presidential votes had been counted properly, former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton would have won in Florida and received the state’s 29 electoral votes.

Right-wing conspiracy theorists are pushing their case at the local level, in state legislatures across the country. And Clint Curtis is a participant.

Fear: A powerful motivator in elections
As the 2026 midterm elections approach, candidates will be looking to every available play to influence voting behavior. And let’s be honest: Fear works.
“Discussing risks or instilling anxiety is effective at changing intentions and behavior, particularly when the behavior provides a solution to the threat."
Trump is a master at instilling fear in voters. Anyone remember this?
"If the left gains power, they will demolish the suburbs, confiscate your guns, and appoint justices who will wipe away your Second Amendment and other Constitutional freedoms," Trump said from the White House South Lawn.
Of course, none of those statements was remotely true. However, the impact of emotion-driven rhetoric cannot be underestimated. For those who unknowingly succumb to fear tactics and neglect thorough research or fact-checking, it becomes all too easy to be swayed by persuasive fear-driven narratives.
So let's talk about the data & FACTS:
Incidence Rates:
Examples:
2020 Election:
Why Fraud is Rare:
To summarize, studies and analyses consistently indicate that election fraud in the US is not widespread, occurs at extremely low rates, and is unlikely to significantly impact the outcome of elections.
JUST REMEMBER THIS!!
All of the assertions made by Clint Curtis about election fraud remain unsubstantiated; none of the individuals he implicated, including Rep. Feeney, have faced any criminal charges related to Curtis' allegations. A thorough examination of the evidence and various legal rulings has consistently disproven Mike Lindell's allegations regarding election rigging. Numerous investigative reports have emerged, firmly asserting that his claims are baseless and have been thoroughly debunked. The situation is similar for Douglas Frank, who has also made controversial assertions. However, due to his inflammatory rhetoric, conspiracy theories, and suspicious behavior, Frank found himself under investigation by the FBI. Adding to the complexities, Tina Peters, whom Frank referred to as his first “red pill” girl, was ultimately convicted and sentenced to prison for her involvement in election interference.
It is crucial to dig deep and uncover the truth about every candidate. While their honesty is their responsibility, your commitment to seeking the truth is vital. Don’t just accept what you’re told—embrace the journey of investigation and discovery. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER AND YOUR POWER IS IN YOUR VOTE!
PS… EVERY ACCUSATION IS A CONFESSION! Think about that when you read Clint Curtis write, “… and doom us to the loss of our democracy forever.”

Clint Curtis proudly poses for a picture at the Shasta County GOP Lincoln-Reagan Dinnerat Win River Casino. From Curtis’ public campaign Facebook page.

The dinner's theme…. "Golden Age of Trump"
We believe this is an example of cult-like behavior as well as the Republican Party's ideology of party over people.
What exactly is the Golden Age of Trump? Is that when people are being kidnapped off the streets of the United States and sent to concentration camps like in WW2 Germany? Or is it when the president overtly violates the 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th, 14th, and 19th Constitutional amendments, plus Article 3, throwing our country into a constitutional crisis? Asking for a friend.
Oh, by the way... For "3,000 get the Mar-A-Lago Circle, The 47 Presidential Experience. Luxe, exclusive, and dripping in golden-age glory fit for the Commander in Chief himself." WHAT??
